Happy Catholic Schools Week! Thank you to all the families who stopped in to say “hello” on Sunday. Our school is a great place to learn and grow, and we have a LOT of fun while doing it!
A Few reminders:
- The kids have filled another Bucket of Kindness! We will be treating the kids to some snow play and hot cocoa after Next Wednesday afternoon! I will send a reminder on Tuesday night for snow clothes and boots:)
- Show and tell on Monday will be Leyla!
- I hope your able to get some fresh air and enjoy the outdoors this weekend! If you have any fun snow pictures (ex: sledding, snowman, snow forts, dogs playing etc..) to share please email them to me and we will show the class!!
This ended our week with Arctic Animals! I hope your kids came home and filled you in on fun facts on the Polar bear, Penguin, Seal, Fox , Hare! We ended the unit with a hands on activity to see how these animals stay warm in the frigid temps. burrrrrr. Picture below!
Religion: We will be focusing on LOVE and friendship for Valentine’s day. God asks one thing of us and that’s to LOVE ONE ANOTHER! We do that by treating our friends with love and respect and kindness each day! We will be going to mass on Tuesday February 8th at 8am! Thank you for getting your children to school early!
Literacy: Your children are doing amazing with phonemic awareness each day. They are becoming so confident with letter sounds and identifying beginning – middle and ending sounds, segmenting words, and building them! We are working on CVC words. Ask your child to show you how to spell fox. Using our hands and bodies helps these concepts stick!
Math: Graphing, tallies and games are everyday work that gets them ready to move into working with larger numbers!
Science : We love hands on experiments! The sensory table is always a hit too! Many fun things to come to keep your kids engaged and curious!
