The past two weeks in our classroom we have been learning about advent and the coming of Jesus. The class made advent wreaths, listened to the advent story, and learned about Mary and Joseph and the time leading up to Jesus’ birth. They have all done such an amazing job retelling the story using our classroom nativity and felt board pieces.
This past week we have also been reading MANY different versions of the Gingerbread Man. Some of our favorites have been: The Ninjabread Man, The Gingerbread Cowboy, and The Gingerbread Girl, The Gingerbread Puppy, and The Gingerbread Man Loose in the School. Make sure to talk with your child about the stories and see which characters were the same, and which ones were different.
Next week will be all about Christmas! We have a lot of fun centers and activities planned for the week. We will also be talking about the letter G, teen numbers, rhyming words, syllables and continuing to practice counting up to 50!

Our Christmas Program will be on December 20th at 9:30am in the Parish Center. Please have your child to school at our regular time so that we can practice one final time before the performance. Doors to the PC will open at 9:15. Please have your child wear Christmas attire.
We will not be attending the 8am Mass on Tuesday, December 13th. Instead, we will be at the 9:30 service.
D4D at Nonna’s GoodLife Pizza from 3-9pm December 13th. Flyer must be presented when ordering. If you can’t find yours, please let me know and I will send home an extra in your child’s folder.
Winter break will begin on December 22nd and school will resume on January 5th.
A few reminders….
Please make sure to dress your child for the weather. As long as the feels like temperature is above 25, we will be going outside.
If your child wears boots to school, please send your child to school with gym shoes in their backpack. We will help them switch in and out of them.

Make sure to get ahead for next year! Enrollment has already begun! Forms are located online or can be picked up in the school office. If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask!
