Dear Pre-K Families,
We’ve had a fantastic and busy week in our classroom! Here’s a peek at what we’ve been up to:
📚 Language Fun with Vocal Aa!
We wrapped up our work with la vocal Aa this week! The children did an amazing job identifying the sound and completing fun and creative crafts related to the letter Aa. You might hear them pointing out words that start with Aa at home — they’re becoming little language detectives!
🐾 Zoophonics Time!
Each morning during calendar time, we practice Zoophonics together — and we’re excited to see more and more of our Pre-K friends confidently joining in! It’s such a fun and interactive way to build early literacy skills.
🤝 5th Grade Buddies!
We had our first visit with our 5th grade buddies this week! The older students were kind and helpful, and the Pre-Kers were thrilled to spend time with them. We will continue meeting with our buddies once a week for fun activities and shared learning.
✝️ Preparing for Mass
We’re getting almost ready for our first Mass! We’ve been practicing how to participate respectfully and joyfully, and we’re looking forward to this special experience as a class community.
🔤 Coming Up Next Week
Next week, we will begin working with la vocal Ee. We have some exciting activities planned to help us learn the sound and recognize words that begin with Ee.
We will also start practicing writing our names every morning — a big step in building independence and fine motor skills!

✅ If you would like to volunteer or participate in any class events, you must be VIRTUS compliant. Please check with the office or visit the school website if you need help completing the process.
🧼 Please continue to send an extra set of clothes with your child — just in case!
🎒 Don’t forget to check your child’s folder daily for notes, completed work, or reminders.
