JK Newsletter 12/3/21

It was so nice to talk with you all at Parent Teacher Conferences!  Hard to believe Thanksgiving is behind us, and we are on to preparing for Jesus’ birthday!

We have been busy practicing for our Christmas play which is December 21st at 9:30.  Please have your child wear their Christmas outfits that day for our performance.

Advent is our main focus throughout the month of December.  You children should have brought  home a a family advent wreath, and also a daily act of kindness calendar. If you did not receive them or need another copy, Please let us know!  The children have been adding a piece of straw to baby Jesus’ crib to make it soft for his birthday. We form a circle  with the crib in the middle. and they share a act of kindness they did at home, . Some examples are making beds, helping a family member, putting out the silverware, put dishes in the sink… are just a few examples.  Please help encourage them to be helpful and add to the ideas at home:) We are hopeful you are seeing your child be more helpful too!

Literacy: We have completed our Jolly Phonics letter introduction portion of our program. We will be reviewing the letters and continuing to work on rhyming words.

Math: We will be continuing to practice sorting, pattering and graphing through fun hands on games at calendar and in center time!

Science/Social Studies: We are anxiously awaiting for snow, and will continue to do fun science experiments.

Enjoy the pictures and have a wonderful weekend!
