JK Newsletter 9-26

Happy Fall! I hope you enjoyed the Grandparents/ Special Friends mass!

The kids drew family pictures and we have them displayed in our classroom.  It is not too late to send your photo in to go with your child’s drawing.  The kids love looking at all the families! They are all so LOVED!

I hope your children are sharing our day with you at home! Some things to ask your kids about..what color they picked to dye their rice? Who was the flag holder, line leader and line Caboose? That changes weekly, but they always look forward to it:)

Next week is ALL ABOUT APPLES, we have a very fun week ahead of us!

Literacy: We are working on letters “C” and “H” in Jolly Phonics. We will be reading Johnny Appleseed story and so much more..

Science: Life cycle of apples.

Religion: We will be talking about the Feast days of St. Vincent and St. Michael this week. Also, another church visit! Your children really enjoy the church visits, so much to look at and learn about!  Mrs. Jacobs and I also love to see our families in church! You can catch us at either the 8:45 or 10:30, please be sure to say “Hi”or wave if you see us!!

Math: We will be sorting , graphing, matching of apples and numbers.

 Few Reminders:

  • Now with the weather starting to turn, please make sure your kids have coats for our walks and outside time.
  • Please have your child bring in their favorite color apple by Wednesday.
  • We will be making apple sauce and doing apple taste tests. Please let us know if your child has any allergies.
