JK Newsletter January 21, 2022

I hope you are staying warm in this weather…burrr! We have had a great week!

Thank you for getting your kids to school for 8am Mass on Tuesday, they did amazing! We will be continuing to do this every Tuesday, and I will send a note the evening before to remind you.

Some things to ask your children about:

  • Did you ever have a snowball fight in the classroom? What letter was in your snowball?
  • How do you like the sensory table of fake snow?
  • Who were the helpers in the classroom this week for Flag holder, prayers, caboose and line leader?
  • Ask your children to finish this sentence…” Show your Cardinal today…”.

Religion: We will be going to church at 8am on Tuesday.  Next week we will begin talking about Catholic Schools Week!  The Archdiocese year long theme is Faith, Excellence and Service. We will be preparing for the celebration, and looking at how we can to show our kind hearts to all!

Literacy: We will be looking at 3 letter word families and continuing to review Jolly Phonics.

Math: We are working with teen numbers, graphing and patterns.

Science/Social Studies:  We will be continuing our winter theme. Snow, ice and Arctic animals will be our main focus.

We will be adding a show and tell. We will be announcing this in our weekly newsletter!  We are starting this Coming Monday! Elin will be our first friend for show and tell. Please make sure it is no larger than their backpack.

Have a wonderful weekend and stay warm!
