JK Newsletter November 5, 2021

We welcomed the first week of November with a bit of sun and a chill in the air! The children have been able to get outside everyday. Please make sure your children have a coat, hat and gloves.  We play outside everyday after lunch for about 45 min.

We are continuing to do a great job as a Bucket filling classroom.  These kids thrive off of  positive encouragement.  Sharing, opening a snack item, zipping a coat, using manners, etc. It only builds their confidence to do more!

Things to ask your child…

  • What is the “grateful” pumpkin. What did you say you’re grateful for??
  • Did you make the AB pattern? Was it hard or easy for you?
  • Did you build anything cool with the blocks? Did you add animals?

Religion: The kids did a great job in church on Monday with their buddies! We will be doing another church visit next week as well. We are grateful for so many things! We will be continuing this theme for the month and focusing on all of God’s blessings.

Literacy: Jolly Phonics this week will be /B/ and /J/.  The kids are doing amazing with all the letter sounds and motions.  I hope they are showing them to you!

Math: We are still busy working on numbers.  We do this through calendar, games, and song. we also have been working on AB patterns. The kids are doing great with the number poems as well.

Science: We will be doing lots of leaf activities in the next few weeks and a few fun science experiments too! Those are a huge hit:)

Please reach out if you have any questions!

Have a wonderful weekend!
