We have been enjoying this beautiful Fall weather! The fresh air does us all good! Even on rainy days we are able to get out and walk around our school grounds and enjoy the fall changes. Please Make sure your child has a coat with the changing weather.
A few talking points for you to ask your kids from the week?
- Ask your child how they can be a “Helper Kind and Good”?
- What is in our rice sensory table filled with?
- Ask your child who the job helpers were this week for Line leader, Prayer , caboose and flag holder?
Religion: God is a very abstract concept for our the young children to grasp. Seeing God in the little things throughout the day is important to point out. “When you see good, you see God!” The sunrise in the morning, a rabbit in the yard, or the full moon at night are just a few examples of many. Using our manners and treating others with kindness as well! I’m hopeful that with the PBIS (Positive Behavior in School) in the classroom and school wide, that these kids are coming home and showing love and respect to their siblings and grown ups.
Literacy: Jolly phonics this week will be “D” and “G”. We are having lots of Halloween and Fall fun with letters and games during center time.
Math: The children are doing great with patterns , graphing, and tally marks each day!! We are still learning how to form our numbers properly. We have number poems that help us with that! You will be seeing that come home next week as some of their seat work!
Science/ Social Studies: PUMPKINS! We will be doing lots of science activities with Pumpkins, and Fall!

* The NJHS is running a SOCKtober drive, collecting new socks for the those in need. If interested, they will be collecting new, unused socks now through October 28th.
