JK Newsletter September 15, 2023

It was so nice to see you all at Fall Fest last weekend! Fall is definitely in the air:) Notice the fall changes all around us! Please make sure your kids have coats as the temp gets cooler. Please help your children get their coats on, and  button it up or zip it up on their own! Building independence is a goal in JK!

A few questions for your children:

  • Who do you sit with at your new table?
  • What do you like to play at recess?

Religion: This week we talked about how God made our families special.  We have all the family drawings and pictures up on the wall and the kids have really been enjoying them. We will start attending 8am mass on Tuesdays with our buddies starting this week and for the rest of the year.

Literacy: We will introduce letters /p/ and /n/ next week.  Help your children find these letters while you read together, or simply by looking at sign while you are driving in the car.

Math: We are working on printing numbers and learning number poems to go with the numbers. We are also graphing, sorting and making patterns.

Science: We are on the lookout for signs of Fall as the seasons change.  If you were out walking with your children be sure to look for the acorns and color changing in the trees! All signs of God’s goodness!!
