This week we celebrated Catholic Schools Week. United in Faith and Community. Students participated in various activities throughout the week, which concluded with the St. Cletus tradition of the Red vs. White Volleyball game. Fun was had by all.
In science…students enjoyed viewing one another’s projects, and the week was spent presenting to their peers. Student projects included investigations related to water filtration, food sciences, and animal science. I am very proud of the Junior High Students. Good job everyone! Students in grades 7th and 8th are learning about Amelia Earhart. In this activity, they are listening to an audio recording, made by Amelia Earhart, as she discussed the advance in science and technology. It is like taking a step back in time, as we listened to her recording. They are also learning about making claims, researching/providing evidence to explain their reasoning.
In religion…students learned about the Gospels through reading comprehension exercises, videos, and a hands-on activity creating scrolls.
Looking forward to next week, there is no school on Friday, February 7, 2025.
God bless,
Mrs. Davis
