As the new school year begins, our middle school students have had a refreshing review of essential lessons from the previous year. In August, they revisited foundational skills, ensuring a strong base for the upcoming curriculum.
Transitioning into September, students began to develop and refine their interpersonal skills. Here’s what they focused on:
- Self-Introduction: Practicing how to introduce themselves confidently in various settings.
- Sharing Interests: Encouraging students to express their hobbies and preferences, fostering a classroom environment rich in diversity and mutual respect.
- Important Questions: Students learned how to ask and respond to crucial emergency questions. This segment was vital for ensuring their safety and quick thinking in unexpected situations.
- Practical Drills: Engaging in role-playing scenarios to reinforce their ability to communicate effectively during emergencies.
Our program for the start of the year emphasizes not just academic growth, but also personal development. By revisiting fundamental concepts and introducing vital communication skills, we aim to nurture well-rounded individuals who are prepared for both classroom and real-world challenges. The journey ahead promises more exciting learning adventures as we continue to build on this solid foundation.
