6th Grade News- 10/4/24

Good Afternoon 6th grade families!

We are keeping busy in 6th grade!  Picture day went great and it was great to see all the students dressed up.  Our student council classroom representatives were chosen! Congrats to Benjamin and Shannon.

ELA-  We are continuing to read through Wonder!  We are about 2/3 of the way done with this novel.   The students are enjoying the book and discussing it with each other.   We are also still working through our 100 vocabulary words.  We have weekly vocab test and once we get through 50 words, we will have a test on all 50!

Math-  We have been working through multiplication and division of fractions.  We will continue practicing and also will be adding addition and subtraction of fractions!

Social Studies-  The students have been learning all about Mesopotamia!  We are working on our final project.  The students are working in groups and researching different Kings from this time period.

I-Ready- We have started our weekly I-Ready lessons.  We work on I-ready for 30 mins each day and students are required to complete 2 reading lessons and 2 math lessons.  If they do not finish these lessons in class, they will be required to finish at home.  Points are given for the completed lessons.
