What a busy week we had even with having Monday off. We learned all about the letter “S” and had fun learning a silly poem about Sam the Slimy Snake. This week we had our second fire drill of the year and kicked off the 2022-2023 school year with our first PBIS assembly. Make sure to ask your student about the special visitor that was there! Thank you to everyone that placed a book order. We were able to add 9 new books to our class library!
Next week we will focus on the letter “A” and in religion we will talk about our families and that we are all part of God’s family. Please send in a family photo that will be displayed on our family board in the classroom. We will all share our photos and make a class graph about how many people are in our family.
Looking ahead…
Monday: Red, White and Blue Day. Please have you child wear these colors to school today.
Tuesday: We will begin attending weekly mass with our 5th grade buddies. Please have your child to school at 7:45 so that we can be seated prior to the start of Mass (begins at 8am). This is also the day for our dining for dollars event at Mak’s House. Make sure to bring your flyer with when ordering. 15% of that days sales/orders comes back to our school!
Friday: We will have a School Spirit Day! Please dress in spirit wear/ our school colors red and white. We will attend a Pep Assembly in the afternoon cheering on our sports teams!

We do go outside everyday for recess and have gym on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please make sure that your child is wearing gym shoes to school.
Grandfriends Mass: We will not be attending as a class, but students will be able to attend with their special person. Please make sure to turn in the permission slip. The office has additional copies if you need one.
