Happy Friday Families!
Here is what we did in Pre-K 3/4 this week!
Looking back…
- We focused on learning about snowmen!
- We learned about the letter x and sound ch as well as writing numbers 1-5.
- We learned that God gave us friends that we can help and who can help us.
- We are continuing to notice the middle sound in words, rather than just the beginning and ending sounds.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR…
Monday, January 19th – No School: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Sunday, January 25th – Catholic Schools Week Begins: Family Mass at 10:30am, Open House 11:30am-2:30pm
REMINDERS…
- Please check your child’s folder daily, especially Wednesdays.
Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About…
Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!
- What do we need to build a snowman? (snow, sticks, rocks, carrot, hat, scarf)
- What is one way you can be a helpful friend? (answers will vary)
- What sound does x make? What sound does ch make? (x says /x/ and ch says /ch/)
- Practice writing numbers 1-5.
- Continue to practice spelling and tracing/writing your child’s first name.
Have a great weekend!
