Here is what we did in Pre-K 3/4 this week!
Looking back…
- We focused on learning about the new year!
- We learned about the sound oo and letter y, as well as writing numbers 1-5.
- We learned that the year is now 2026, instead of 2025. We also shared some of the things we want to do in the new year.
- We are beginning to notice the middle sound in words, rather than just the beginning and ending sounds.

Sunday, January 25th – Catholic Schools Week Begins: Family Mass at 10:30am, Open House 11:30am-2:30pm

- Please check your child’s folder daily, especially Wednesdays.

Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!
- What year is it? (2026)
- What is one thing you want to do this upcoming year? (answers will vary)
- What sound does oo make? What sound does y make? (oo says /oo/ and y says /y/)
- Practice writing numbers 1-5.
- Continue to practice spelling and tracing/writing your child’s first name.
