Pre-K 3/4 March 6th Newsletter

Happy Friday Families!
Here is what we did in Pre-K 3/4 this week!

Looking back…

  • We learned about flowers.
  • We reviewed the sounds for the letters t and i, as well as writing numbers 1-10.
  • We are continuing to notice the middle sound in words, rather than just the beginning and ending sounds.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR…

  • Saturday, March 7th: Spring Auction (Parish Center 6:30pm-10:30pm)
  • Wednesday, March 11th: Crazy Socks and Hat Day
  • Thursday, March 12th: 11:30am Dismissal (NO Aftercare) – Dr Seuss or Red, White, and Blue Dress Down Day
  • Friday, March 13th: No School
  • Saturday, March 28th: Easter Egg Hunt Pre-K – 3rd Grade (Courtyard 9-10am)
  • Monday, March 30th: Panera D4D (LaGrange Park 4pm-8pm)

REMINDERS…

  • Please check your child’s folder daily, especially Wednesdays.

Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About…
Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!

  • What are the different parts of a flower? (petals, seeds, stem, roots, leaves)
  • What sound does t make? What sound does i make? (t says /t/ and i says /i/)
  • Practice writing numbers 1-10.
  • Continue to practice spelling and tracing/writing your child’s first name.

Have a great weekend!
