Pre-K 3 Newsletter February 20

We focused on Construction and Lent this week!

*This week, we talked about how during Lent, we prepare our hearts for Jesus. We received ashes on Ash Wednesday!

*We learned that construction workers are very important. They build roads, houses, schools and more!

*We pretended to be construction workers in our Dramatic Play center!

*We practiced color mixing with play-doh. We found out blue and yellow make green! Blue and red make purple! We had so much fun using our hands to mix the play-doh!

*We started our Kindness chain! For the next 40 days, our friends will be shouted out and a link will be added to our chain when we do something kind!

Thursday, February 26- Opening night of Descendants! Parish Center Gym, 7PM

Friday, February 27- Descendants Musical in the Parish Center, 3:30 PM & 7PM

Saturday, February 28- Descendants Musical in the Parish Center, 2PM

*As the weather gets nicer, please be sure to send your child in appropriate clothing for outdoor recess! We are SO READY to be able to play outside again!

Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!

• What do Construction workers do? (build roads, schools, houses)

• What color did the yellow & blue play doh make? (green)

• What game did you play in P.E.? (we made pizzas!)
