Pre-K 3 Newsletter February 5

Happy Thursday Families!

We focused on the tradition of Groundhog’s Day and our letter of the week, Q.

*This week, we did a Q for Queen craft!

*We learned all about Groundhog’s Day. Why we celebrate it, when the season changes from Winter to Spring and what a real groundhog looks like!

*We celebrated our 100th day of school! 100 photos of Ms. Schaefer and Mr. Porod were hidden around the school, we went on a hunt for them! We also created hats and used our bingo daubers to dab 100 circles!

*We used our light table to find the letter Q!

*We practiced sorting groundhogs (counting bears) by color in our math center!

It was a week filled with celebrations and learning in Pre-K 3!

Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About…
Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!
  • Did Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow? What does that mean? (He did! 6 more weeks of Winter!)

  • What did you do at the light table this week? (Find the letter Q!)

  • What numbers make up 100? (one, zero, zero)
Have an amazing weekend,
Mrs. Arlowe
