Pre-K 3 Newsletter March 13

Happy Friday Families!
Here is what we did in Pre-K 3 this week!
.
Looking back…
*We focused on NAMES this week. We are working on recognizing the first 2 letters in our first names!
*We learned during mass that Abba means “father” and Jesus called God Abba, we can also call God, Abba!
*We got to play outside ALL WEEK during recess!
*We are learning how to play Pickleball in P.E.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR…
Friday, March 14- NO SCHOOL
Monday, March 17- Wear green for St. Patrick’s Day!
Thursday, March 20- Wear dark blue for Colon Cancer Awareness!
Wednesday, March 26- Book fair 3-4PM
.
REMINDERS…
*We will be participating in the book fair at the end of the month! On Tuesday, March 25 we will browse as a class and your student will come home with a list of ‘wants’. If you choose, please send the list back with what your child is approved to buy and the money to cover those items! The book fair will be open after school on Wednesday, March 26 from 3-4 PM if you’d prefer to buy then!
*We are collecting change for the Catholic tradition of “rice bowls”. Money collected is used to feed our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world! Here is a link for more information.
**Consider creating a fundraising page for our Spring Auction! Whoever’s class raises the most money, the teacher gets rewarded a SPA day and the students get a movie party!
.
Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About…
Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!
*What are the first two letters in your name?
*How do you play Pickleball in gym?
*What was your letter of the week? (Letter V)
*What are some words that start with the letter V? (vampire, volcano, vacuum)
.
Have an amazing weekend,
.
