Pre-K 3 Newsletter October 17

Happy Friday Families!
Here is what we did in Pre-K 3 this week!

Looking back…

*This week, we focused on the Pumpkins theme! Our little learners explored the life cycle of pumpkins, practiced math and fine motor skills and enjoyed sensory-rich activities with pumpkins!

*We learned about the pumpkin life cycle through sequencing activities.

*Carved a real life pumpkin and got to touch the inside (if we wanted to!)

*Created pumpkin themed art using marbles!

.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR…
Monday, October 27– Wear Pink & bring $1 to support Breast Cancer
Tuesday, October 28– Crazy sock day & bring in a canned food item to support our Food Pantry!
Wednesday, October 29– Decade Day, dress up as your favorite decade
Thursday, October 30– Hawaiian Day!
.
REMINDERS…
As we get into the cooler weather…. make sure to send your child with appropriate clothing to go outside! We are outside almost every day, even in the Winter!
Please practice with your child on how to put on jackets and clothing independently. Independence is a HUGE part of preschool!
.
Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About…
Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!
*What’s inside a pumpkin? (guts and seeds)
*How does a pumpkin grow? (on a vine)
*How do you say pumpkin in Spanish? (calabaza)
Have an amazing weekend,
