Pre-K 3 Newsletter September 12

Happy Friday Families!
Here is what we did in Pre-K 3 this week!

Looking back…

*Our week was centered around Apples and the letter A!

*We learned our Letter A song and met Lizzie the letter lizard!

*We read so many fun books! One of our favorites was “10 Apples on Top” by Dr. Seuss, then we acted out the story with bean bags!

*We observed Patriot Day and remembered those who fought to keep us safe!

REMINDERS…
St. Cletus is celebrating Grandfriends Day on September 25! Here is how the event works–if your family wants to bring your child to mass, RSVP using this link. The day of, their Grandfriend will pick them up from our classroom at 1PM and take them to mass, WE DO NOT GO AS A CLASS. Afterwards, there is a reception with some treats and beverages. We ask that if your child is going to Grandfriends Day, please have your family member take them home after. We want to minimize the amount of tears and sadness for our little friends!
In your child’s backpack you will see a Scholastic Book Club flyer, there are so many great options for books for your family to read at home! If you need help getting started, don’t hesitate to reach out! This first order will close on September 30!
Please label any jackets/sweaters/clothing that your child is bringing to school. We have some jacket’s in here that we are unsure who they belong to!
Please start separating your student’s SNACK from their lunch. We prefer their snack be outside of their lunchbox at the TOP of their backpack. Our goal is to get our students to put out their own snack, this makes it easiest!
.
Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About…
Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!
*What was your letter of the week this week? (Letter A)
*What are some words that start with the Letter A? (apple, airplane, ant, astronaut)
*What colors can apples be? (red, green, yellow)
Have an amazing weekend,
