Hello Cardinal families!
The month of October is here, and we are really getting into the swing of things in 7th and 8th grade.
In 7th grade ELA, we have recently taken our first test, on the theme of change with the short stories we have read in our Literature books. We are also touching up on our nonfiction.
In 8th grade ELA, we have recently finished reading Tom Sawyer, and have taken test and done a group character project, which I was very pleased with! Now, we are reading “Hair-raising tales” in our Lit textbooks throughout the month of October.
In 7th Grade Social Studies, we are learning of the earliest Americans, and will be completing a brochure next about cultures like the Aztecs, Incas, and Mayans.
For 7th grade, the field trip permission slip was due today for our field trip to Feed My Starving Children in Aurora on October 17th. WE NEED CHAPERONES! Please reach out if you are able.
Also a reminder to keep checking Power School for your child’s grades and possible missing assignments. Thank you, and have a lovely weekend!
Ms. McQuinn
