Dear Parents ,
Welcome to another exciting year in the Art Room! My name is Mrs. DeVeno, and I am thrilled to be teaching art to the students at St. Cletus. Our art program is all about encouraging creativity, imagination, and confidence while helping students explore a wide variety of materials, artists, and cultures.
This year students will learn about famous artists, experiment with new techniques, and express their own idea through drawing, painting, 3-D projects, collage, and mixed media. My goal is that every child views themselves as an artist and understands that there are many ways to be creative.
In art class, we focus on:
* Developing creative problem-solving skills
* Exploring the elements of art and the principles of design
* Learning about artists from different times and places
* Building confidence through self-expression
Please encourage your child to share their art and talk about what they made. Each piece shows their creativity and growth.
