Dear Families,
We are so proud of all the hard work the children have been doing! Last week, we finished learning our vowels. We will continue practicing how to recognize and write each one. The last vowel we studied was U, and the children had a wonderful time discovering new words that begin with this letter. They also enjoyed reviewing words that start with the other vowels we’ve already learned.
In addition to our letter work, we introduced some new songs that the students are really enjoying! Ask your child to sing along to our shape song:
- “Círculo, cuadrado, rectángulo”
and our weather song: - “¿Qué clima, qué clima, qué clima hace hoy?”
It’s been so fun to see the students practicing these songs with lots of enthusiasm. We are also working very hard on learning the Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish, and the children are making wonderful progress.
Looking ahead, we are excited to begin learning the letter M this week! We will also continue practicing our i-Ready lessons, working on writing our names, and learning to recognize and write our last names.
In faith and prayer, after Mass on Tuesdays, we take time together to talk about the message from Mass and share what we think about it. These reflections are becoming a meaningful part of our weekly routine.
