Hi there my wonderful families and Happy 2026! I cannot believe we are in January, not sure about you! 🙂
Math: Homework has been coming from the Into Math homework/practice book! It will be shared on ClassDojo what the math homework is for that night each day! Our morning work has been working through our Simple Solutions workbooks. We have been working hard throughout our module workbooks, and have started learning about shapes as well! 🙂
The next day, I will be checking their work! Please ensure that your child is completing their work:) We have started module 6 this week! Please ensure your child is doing their homework each day as it has with practicing what we have been learning!
Wilson: We have been hard at work with our Wilson program. We have been started Unit 6, this is a longer unit! We have been learning about suffixes, especially with the -s.
Spelling: We will have a spelling test 1/23 not next week 1/16. The words are a bit tougher so I would rather give them more time to prepare! Thank you for understanding!!! 🙂
The words/sentences are:
Stuff, Press, Pinch, Brags, and Vest
Sentences:
- Could Jill munch on her plum?
- Where did the dog stuff the clams?
Social Studies: This week, we focused more on talking about science. Next week, we will go into a deeper dive with maps, and events of history! 🙂
Religion: In religion, we have been hard at work talking about God’s love and how important it is! We have been discussing with each other how Jesus had many followers because he invited them to join him! We have started this week by talking about how we can praise Jesus and God in our own daily lives.
Science: We have been discussing every single day during morning meeting, the weather! We have discussed about heating and cooling and how we can do that with chemical/physical changes.
Reading: We have been noticing on how in stories–they do start with capital letters, finger spacing, and punctuation! We are also still very grateful to have Storytime with our volunteering librarian (Mrs. Flood) on Thursday’s as well! We have been working hard with our comprehension (remembering what is going on/happening throughout the story!)
Once again, if you are interested in being a Mystery Guest Reader, please just let me know! 🙂
