We had a fun week in JK! The weather was absolutely beautiful and allowed us to get lots of fresh air! We brought out the chalk and a jump rope and these kids have hops.. so proud of them and their new found skill! I know the weather is going to be up and down but we will be getting out each day. Please make sure they have a hat.
We have begun the Lenten season in church and school. Your children should have brought home a butterfly paper to begin doing good deeds around the house and for others.
Questions to ask your children:
- Did you have a job in the class this week?
- What 2 toys in the classroom did we set aside for Lent?
- Did you try to jump rope while Mrs. Hogan and Mrs. Jacobs counted our jumps?
Religion: We will be focusing on getting our hearts ready for Easter. We will be praying as a JK Family at religion time and saying the “Our Father” each day.
Literacy: We will also continue with our daily review of Jolly Phonics and also phonemic awareness.
Math: Our number work continues daily. We are working on teen numbers which can be tricky.
Science: The Daily Meteorologist reporter is going well! Your kids are so proud reporting the weather. Thanks you for practicing with them!
Have a wonderful weekend!
The JK Team
