JK Newsletter April 17, 2026

It was such a great week welcoming your children back after a Easter Break! They all grew, and just looked a little bit older. We always notice it at Christmas break and Easter break, when we all come back together again. The best part was, they ALL had giant smiles, big hellos, and were ready to be back for JK fun!

This week we started our Emotions unit. The kids are loving reading different books and talking about the many different emotions we all feel.

Questions for your kids:

  • What 4 emotions did we do this week?
  • What did you make in the middle of your Earth with your thumbprint?

Religion: God gave us one earth and we need to take care of it!  Next week we will celebrate the Earth all week.  Tuesday we will have a special Earth day all school mass at 8am, and NO garbage from snack or lunch.  So please bring reusable containers

Literacy: We are looking for POPcorn words in our morning message each day! Your children are able to recognize: Do, did,we and see. We are also doing phonemic awareness and reviewing letter sounds each day!

Math: We are now writing numbers up to 50 each morning! Your kids are really working hard with Kindergarten around the corner! We also have many other counting games and number formations that we are working on.

Social Studies: April showers bring MAY flowers! Birds, worms, flowers are all things Spring! The kids look forward to the weather report each morning! All the kids have gained so much confidence reporting the weather.

Have a great weekend!
