Just when we got used to the warm weather, the cold moves back in…Spring in Chicago;) Please make sure to bring coats for your kids!

Kids had a great week! Lots of Spring centers, a ice cream treat in honor of  St. Cletus Feast Day, fun outdoor time, story time with Mrs. Flood, spotting a hawk at recess,  but this weeks topper of them all… a trip to the office to help Mr. Porod with the morning announcements, now that was special!

Religion: May is the month of Mary! We will have the May Crowning mass for Blessed Mother on May 4th at 9:30 Mass.

Literacy: We are looking for POPcorn words in our morning message each day! Your children are able to recognize: be, we, see, I did, be, my and is. We are also doing phonemic awareness and letter sound each day!

Math: Lots of number games, and number poems! We also have many other counting games and number formation that we are working on.

Social Studies: April flowers bring MAY flowers! Birds, worms, flowers are all things Spring! The kids look forward to the weather report each morning! All the kids have gained so much confidence reporting in front of their friends!

Have as great weekend!
