Hi there my wonderful first-grade families! 🙂
Math: Each morning, the students work through their Simple Solutions workbooks for their morning work. We have finished up Module 17 and will begin Module 18 next week! 🙂
****PLEASE keep up with the homework as it does help build on their own progress with what we have been learning about! 🙂
Wilson: We have been working hard throughout all the units and we are through with Unit 12 and will start Unit 13 next week.
Spelling: We will be having a spelling test this coming week.
Spelling Word Lists is:
Blended, Thrilling, Clockwise, Finishing, Between
Sentences:
- Dad called us back home.
- Is this the way back to the cabin?
Social Studies/Science: In social studies this week, we talked more about history and how it impacted us then and still is a major talking point in our world today!
Religion: We have been flying through our Sadlier Religion books as a whole class. We have been learning more about the seasons within the Church, what they are, and how they are important.
Reading: We have working together with our small group reading our supplemental reading books along with our decodables. We then begin discussing what has been happened in the stories, and building on our knowledge. We do this at the same time with our resource officer, Mrs. Sigel. Also, we have been able to connect what we have learned about in the books back to what we have been learning about Wilson, which is just amazing! 🙂
We have been working EXTREMELY hard with our comprehension (remembering what is going on/happening throughout the story!) throughout our small group reading time as well!
**Remember to keep filling out those reading logs! 🙂 They are due each Monday unless we do not have school so in that case, they would be due on Tuesdays! Thank you!!!!!! 🙂
