Hello DLI Families,
This week we learned all about the letter P! Students focused on the sound the letter P makes and how it sounds when combined with las vocales. The class practiced saying, hearing, and identifying the sound in different words.
During Heggerty time, we continued strengthening our phonemic awareness skills by listening carefully and repeating sounds and words. The students are doing a wonderful job practicing their listening and speaking skills each day.
Our song of the week was “Zapatito blanco, zapatito azul.” The students especially loved the game that goes along with the song. Some students made great connections by sharing that this game is similar to “Bubble Gum, Bubble Gum in the Dish.” We had so much fun singing, playing, and learning together!
In addition, we celebrated our 101 Days of School! We were all so excited to become Dalmatians for the day. Thank you to all of you who donated a white T-shirt for this special project — we truly appreciate your support in helping make this celebration fun and memorable for our students.
