March: Poems, Prayers and Book Report information will be sent home this Friday February 28th.
March Prayer : Will be recited on Monday March 10th
March Poems: Will be presented Monday March 17th.
March Book Reports: Students should be looking for a series chapter book (NO GRAPHIC NOVELS) to read. Book report projects are due on the 27th of March.

Here’s what we will be doing in class this week:
Religion: We will be learning more about the Church as the body of Christ and the People of God. We will be taking a closer look at the Apostles’ Creed and the fact that it is a summary of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and the faith of the Apostles.
Math: We have spent time in Module 7 working with fact families, and inverse operations using multiplication and division facts. This week the students will spend time reviewing for the Module 7 chapter quiz.
Science: We will begin a unit on Plant Life Cycles. The students will learn about the meaning of these terms: germinates, flower, reproduce (as it applies to plants) pollen, pollination, spores.
Reading; During the week the class will be working on their comprehension skills as read the iReady story “Zel the Gentle Donkey” The students will define unfamiliar words using context clues. They will also answer questions centered around the short passage read as a whole class and independently.
Phonics: During the week the class will be working with vowel pairs (ai, ay, ea, ee, ie, oa, oe, and ue) digraphs ( aw, au, ea, ei, or, and oo)
Spelling: The students will work with words that contain the r-controlled sound of /or/ when it is spelled with an ore, or, oar and ar.
