The students were given their January book report assignment on December 20th. This month the class will be reading historical fiction novels; As usual NO GRAPHIC Novels. Here some ideas for book choices:

Here’s what we will be doing in class this week:
Religion: The class will be learning about The Three Kings who brought gifts to the baby Jesus and the Epiphany (January 6th) .
Math: This week the class will be reviewing to the math strategy of division.
Science: The students will learn about the terms: variable and force as they apply to an experiment we will be doing during this unit.
Reading; This week we will be reading short stories about snowflakes as the student prepare to write their own snowflake adventures
Phonics: The class will review contractions
Spelling: There will not be a spelling unit this week.

Friday January 10th: Please send the Historical Fiction Chapter Book that your child is reading for the January book report to school today so that they can read it during flashlight reading time. If your child has finished the book they are welcome to bring the book of their choice.
