Phonics:  The class will be review the concepts from Unit four as they complete: the Unit 4 Check up, Review and test.   The concepts that we worked with in Unit four are: suffixes and endings when added to base words that have an -e at the end.  The class learned that if the word ends with an -e they have to drop the -e and add one of these suffixes or endings: -ing, -er, -est, -ed.  They worked with the suffixes -ful, -ly, -ness, -less, and -y when added to the end of words changes the meaning of the words.  Suffixes are:  -ful = ful of.  -ly = in a certain way.  -less = without.  -ness = being.  -y = having.
