¡Adios febrero! 2/24/25- 2/28/25

This week we learned all about the letra Rr and combined the letter with syllables to make ra,re,ri,ro, and ru. We also began adding those syllables to other previously practiced syllables. We continue practicing our numbers, and practiced using a worksheet on the number of the week. Next week we will finish counting all the way up veinte (20). We were also working on making patrones (patterns) with colorful dinosaurs – DLI students really enjoyed.

This week I also introduced a “Hello” song which our students LOVED! We were able to enjoy some outside time by taking advantage of the warm weather. When talking about the change in weather, Cece, added “Esta pequeño frío afuera”. We responded by saying “si Cece, está poco frío afuera.” I see every day how their vocabulary and understanding of Spanish continues to grow!  I am so happy for them! This week we also celebrated 2 cumpleaños. Feliz Cumple Audrey y Frankie A!!!!

¡Gracias Mrs. D’Angelo for being this week’s Lectora Misteriosa!

Next week, we will finish counting all the way up to 20.  We will also continue working on our Zoo Phonics, Heggerty, shapes and colors. We will continue having lots of fun in class and continue doing fun activities and crafts. We will review the letter Ss for Sandia… yum! We will also classify all of our frutas (fruits) and vegetales (vegetables). We will vote to see which fruit AND vegetable are the most popular. Would anyone like to donate said fruits and vegetables? Please let me know via email. This fun activity will take place over 2 days.  We will vote on Thursday and have a yummy healthy snack on Friday.
