Dear Families,
Welcome to a brand new school year! We are so excited to have your little ones in our class, and are looking forward to a year full of learning, growth, and joyful moments together. Thank you for trusting us with your child’s early education—we are honored to be part of their journey!
What We’re Learning
This week, we kicked off our learning adventure by exploring the letter A and its sound. We practiced recognizing and saying the letter in both English and Spanish, and our classroom was filled with fun, hands-on activities to help make the learning stick!
In Spanish, we are starting each morning with our cheerful song “Buenos Días”—ask your child to sing it for you at home! We are also beginning to use Zoo-Phonics, a fun and interactive program that helps children connect letters with sounds through movement and character play.
This Week’s Crafts
To reinforce our learning, we made some special crafts this week:
“A de Árbol” – A is for Tree! Students created their own colorful trees while practicing the sound of the letter A in Spanish.
“A for Ana Ardilla” – We also met Ana the squirrel, our Zoo-Phonics friend for the letter A. The children loved learning her story and making their own Ana crafts.
Looking Ahead
We are off to a great start and can’t wait to continue exploring the alphabet and building foundational skills in a fun, nurturing environment. Thank you for your continued support, and as always, feel free to reach out with any questions!
With excitement,
Ms. Nieves and Mrs. Perez
