This week we prepared to have the “main event” of our self love/positive affirmation lesson. We told students that, they would find out who the “estudiante favorito” is. We first began by defining and understanding the words estudiante and favorito, which DLI students understood with little to no help. We also had the espejo (mirror) of positive affirmations. When telling each student all their attributes and seeing them smile so big, it melted our hearts! Some of the books we read were Mi Vida de Abeja and La Luz de Lucia. We focused on finishing letter Vv and starting letter Ww. We also spent some quality time with our 5th grade buddies. We had snack together and colored spring coloring pages.
This week, we will finish letter Ww and will begin letter Xx. We will continue working on our handwriting and continue practicing our shapes, numbers, and colors. We will also continue practicing our prayers in Spanish!
