Season’s Greeting, Dual Language Immersion families,
On behalf of Ms. Nieves, Ms. Sonia, Mrs. Perez, and Mrs. Dorgan, I would like to wish you and your families a blessed and joyous Christmas! There are many reasons to be grateful during this special season, and here at St. Cletus, we are especially thankful for your children and the progress they have made in our Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program. It is truly a joy to see them grow and learn and we are confident that, with the continued guidance of our teachers and aides, they will keep strengthening their knowledge of the Spanish language.
As a DLI team, we continue to ensure that your child receives the best possible dual language experience. We continue to regularly collaborate closely with representatives from the University of Notre Dame and the Archdiocese of Chicago, and we continually review curriculum and best practices to maintain quality instruction in our classrooms.
Earlier this school year, we had the opportunity to visit Holy Cross School in South Bend, Indiana, to observe their thriving DLI program and explore ways to continue working together to mirror their success here at St. Cletus. Our team also attended the Better Juntos Dual Language Conference hosted by the University of Notre Dame, where our teachers gained valuable insights into classroom best practices. Most recently, representatives from the University of Notre Dame visited our school to observe our DLI classrooms and meet with us to discuss new ways to strengthen our partnership.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s language journey. Please know that we are always available should you have any questions. We look forward to the year ahead as we continue this journey with you and your children.
Blessings and Happy New Year,
