This week was very busy! We continued practicing our numbers and morning routines. We learned about the letter Kk and continued practicing our shapes and numbers. We read a This is the Stable, a book from our ECLIP resource manual. We have been talking about parts of the book such as la portada (the cover) and las illustraciones (the illustrations). We lit our second Advent candle and discussed ways we can have/bring Paz (peace) to our world. Michael, said he can have Paz by believing in Dios (GOD). Additionally, Frankie D. was excited to watch a short clip he requested for “dos ✌️ mas.”
On Thursday December 12th, our students offered a rosa roja to Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. You can view pictures in the gallery below! Prior to our visit, we had watched a short clip in Spanish about the apariciónes so that our students could better understand the story of Our Lady. At Mass, we were able to see a short play of the Apparitions. At the conclusion of this special Mass, we approached the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe and offered her our rose after making La señal de la Cruz (Sign of the Cross). It was a very touching moment!

Next week, we will be doing fun crafts and talking about the coming birth of baby Jesus. We will light our third candle of Advent and learn about the letter Ll. We are also very excited for the Christmas program! It will start at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18 and our students should dress in their Sunday’s best!
