Hello DLI Families,
This week we learned all about the letter Qq and the sound it makes when combined with las vocales. Students practiced hearing and saying the sounds in words. We also learned that Q cannot live without U, we talked about how they are “married” and always stay together when making words!
Our ZooPhonics character this week was Quique Quetzal. Students learned that he is a green bird with a red belly, and we practiced connecting his name and sound to our letter learning.
We also had an amazing assembly celebrating our students for their iReady achievements. It was a great assembly, and we were so proud of everyone! During a fun basketball challenge, Matty became a winner, amazing job!
Lastly, we celebrated Valentine’s Day with a classroom party. All of our students were soooo excited! It was wonderful seeing them celebrate friendship and kindness together.
