First Grade Fun

Good morning, parents!
First grade had a great time this morning walking the grounds of St. Cletus for the “Statue tour.” We learned about all 7 statues, and what they mean to us. We posed for a picture at the St. Cletus statue, since it is his feast day tomorrow. We are celebrating today because the teachers have a Professional day tomorrow.
First grade was very happy and excited to learn that they won “PBIS” for the month of May! We have our banner in the hallway, and celebrated today with a special treat. Great job, first graders!!
Looking forward to the month of May, we will be joining second graders on a field trip to the Brookfield Zoo. We will be going on May 13. We also will be bringing a stuffed animal, a journal, and a beach blanket to school next week to celebrate “Creation.” We are going to find a quiet spot on our property and meditate and write in our journals. We will be focusing on God’s creation, and how blessed we are in our lives. This was an activity from one of my professional growth classes, and it’s one I think the children will enjoy.
Last but not least, “Cardinalpalooza” is this weekend! It is our biggest fundraiser, and certainly alot of fun! There will be raffle prizes, a wine cellar. a live auction, and a comedy show. Please come out and support our wonderful parish and school.
Have a great weekend!!
