First Grade Fun! :)

Hello and Welcome to the first grade fun!  🙂

I am so sorry for the delayed posts of newsletters. I was having technical difficulties, but thank goodness, we finally got it all figured out.

Last week, we learned about our five senses. We had stations set up and learned about our senses and how we use them! In bags, the students used their senses of smell and touch. The students were able to touch the bag and make their guesses of what they thought it was. The students were correct in it being play dough. The students then used their sense of smell and were able to make their guesses of what the items smelled like. The students smelled many items including some spices. One being cinnamon and garlic! We used our sense of sight being able to look at colors. And lastly with our sense of taste, we are used our sense to enjoy some juice and chocolate chip cookies!

Cardinal Dollars- If your child is caught being a Cardinal with our values (Being responsible, respectful, or compassionate) they will be awarded with a Cardinal Dollar! At points throughout the school year, the cardinal store will open up and the students can exchange their dollars for a prize! I know not sure what the prizes are but I am so excited to see us excel in first-grade!

A email was sent last week a link to Grandfriend’s Mass! Please ensure you have signed up if you would like!

Homework was sent out this past week! The homework for this past week was ensuring that we are working on our writing our numbers and letters the correct way in first-grade!

And here I would add some pictures from throughout the week! Cardinal dollars, activities, and losing teeth! Unfortunately they will not allow me to update so hopefully I can add some to these week’s newsletter!

Thank you so very much for everything,

Miss M.
