Hi there my wonderful first-grade families! 🙂
Math: Each morning, the students work through their Simple Solutions workbooks for their morning work. We have finished up Module 15 and will begin Module 16 next week! 🙂
****PLEASE keep up with the homework as it does help build on their own progress with what we have been learning about! 🙂
Wilson: We have been working hard throughout all the units and we have begun Unit 12 this week.
Spelling: We will be having a spelling test this coming week.
Spelling Word Lists is:
Upset, Admit, Public, Dislike, Reptile.
Sentences:
1.) People squinted into the sunshine.
2.) Is there a cupcake inside your backpack?
Social Studies/Science: This week we have been talking about our history and the events, symbols, holidays, and people who have impacted it and how it connects to our world today.
Religion: We have completed our religion assessments. We have been flying through our Sadlier Religion books as a whole class. We have been discussing Mass and it’s importance, especially with the Eucharist.
Reading: We have working together with our small group reading our supplemental reading books along with our decodables. We then begin discussing what has been happened in the stories, and building on our knowledge. We do this at the same time with our resource officer, Mrs. Sigel. Also, we have been able to connect what we have learned about in the books back to what we have been learning about Wilson, which is just amazing! 🙂
We have been working EXTREMELY hard with our comprehension (remembering what is going on/happening throughout the story!) throughout our small group reading time as well!
**Remember to keep filling out those reading logs! 🙂 They are due each Monday unless we do not have school so in that case, they would be due on Tuesdays! Thank you!!!!!! 🙂
