Hi there my wonderful families!,
Math: Each day when homework is assigned, it will be coming from that Into Math homework/practice book! It will be shared on ClassDojo what the math homework is for that night each day!
The next day, I will be checking their work! Please ensure that your child is completing their work:) This week we built our knowledge on addition and how we can use it within subtraction! The kids have also been learning about their number families as well!
Wilson: We have been hard at work with our Wilson program. We have been working hard on Unit 4, we will complete the Unit 4 Test next week!
Spelling: These tests will be given every Friday. New lists will be sent home each week. This coming week’s words are Thank, Wings, Rink, Songs, and Things!
Sentences:
1.) Put my junk here.
2.) The king also sang a very long song.
Social Studies: We also were able to explore the maps that we have in the classroom! We talked about the different cultures, traditions, and beliefs that people do! This week we have been discussing the different types of jobs and how those differ from volunteering.
Religion: In religion, we have been hard at work talking about God’s love and how important it is! We have been discussing with each other how Jesus had many followers because he invited them to join him! How the followers of Jesus did not know before they joined him that he was the Son of God! That Jesus showed all of his new followers how to pray and that connects to how we say the Lord’s prayer! We have also been discussing how Christmas is Jesus’ birth and how it is truly just so important to remember that Christmas is not just about the presents.
Science: We have been discussing every single day during morning meeting, the weather! With the seasons changing, we talk about what it looks like and feels like outside! It has been a big discussion about the cold and the snow!
Reading: We have been noticing on how in stories–they do start with capital letters, finger spacing, and punctuation! We are also still very grateful to have Storytime with our volunteering librarian (Mrs. Flood) on Thursday’s as well!
