What an exciting first full week of fall this has been! We began to talk about fiction and nonfiction books this week. Of course we all enjoyed the fiction leaf books better, but we were able to learn some really interesting facts about leaves! We focused on the letter “I” and were able to learn our new poem. Make sure to ask your student about it!

Today we had another fire drill, but this time the LaGrange Fire Department was here to watch us! We did such an amazing job exiting the building without running or any tears! We also found out that the fire department will be having an open house. For more information please check out the flyer!

In class we continued to talk about all of God’s amazing gifts and how we use them each and every day! Our shape focus this week was a circle. Circles are everywhere, and we had so much fun each day after recess playing duck duck goose!
A few things….
- As the weather gets colder, please make sure that your child is coming to school dressed for the weather. We do go outside each day as long as the weather allows us to. To help get as much time as possible, please work with your child on putting on their own jacket. We are more than happy and willing to help them zip if needed!
- We will continue to attend weekly 8am Mass on Tuesday. Please help us arrive on time. The school doors open at 7:45 those mornings to allow students extra time to unpack and make their way over to church with the class.
- Keep sending in those family photos! The class loves showing their friends the pictures and talking about their families!
- If you child is absent please notify the office at attendance@stcletusparish.com and copy myself on there as well.
- Cold and Flu season is upon us. Please help us contain the spread of germs. Please review our school guidelines here.
