Half-day Preschool-September 30, 2022

Looking Back…
*This week was all about apples.  We counted apples in our five frames during our learning centers.  We tasted apples to decide which were our favorites.  We read lots of books and learned how apples grow.  After reading Ten Apples On Top, we counted apples on all of the Preschool Kiddos’ heads.  That was so much fun.  Last, we painted apples using our hands.  This painting was the first of our special collection of monthly paintings!
*Learning how to be safe and evacuate a bus was our safety lesson this week.  Now we know that the most important thing to get off of the bus in an emergency is YOU!  Bus driver Phil said we did an awesome job.
*Letter “Dd” was our focus this week.  Jolly Phonics had us banging our drums to make the “Dd” sound.  Dinosaurs were our alphabet craftivity this week.  Rolling dice and counting dinosaurs during calendar time combined our love for dinosaurs and our brand new BIG ten frame!
*Thanking God for our hands this week lent itself to many special activities.  Our Religion discussion was all about the different ways we can use our hands to be good helpers.  We can do so many things with our hands and this week’s picture gallery displays so many of them.
*Congratulations to Abby, our PBIS winner of the week.  Abby is always ready to help her friends with anything they need.
