Hi Parents:
Happy Friday! This week was eventful. We learned about the Sacraments in Religion, and celebrated our weekly Mass with our Bishop. We continue to work on Geometry in Math, and are practicing mastery of our math facts. In Social Studies, we colored a map of the United States and talked about places we have visited.
In Reading, we are reading a new book, “The Winners’ Choice.” We are reading with more fluency and comprehension. We continue to do weekly book reports, as we are so interested in sharing our books with our classmates.
In Spelling, we are mastering the “y” pattern this week. We enjoyed a fun spelling bee last week. We are working on prepositions and prepositional phrases. In handwriting, we are on “U,u.”
We worked very hard to get the PBIS classroom of the month last month, and will continue to follow the PBIS matrices. We are looking forward to our class treat for winning that award.
We will be having a Valentine’s Day party on February 14 from 12:30-1:30. We can’t wait to share our candy and valentines with our classmates and friends. A big “thank you” to the moms who are planning it. It’s sure to be a good time!
