This week in DLI, we focused on letter Ss. We practiced S with the vocales (a,e,I,o,u) to make a sílaba. We also focused on numero 20. This week we also celebrated Dr. Seuss! We read The Cat in the Hat…or should I say, El Gato Ensombrerado. We did a few activities related to the book and had lots of fun! This Wednesday, we received our ashes and we begin Lent. Before Mass we spoke about the meaning and importance of Lent. We also spoke about Lent’s 40 days of Prayer, Almsgiving and Fasting. Some friends talked about giving up a toy or candy for Lent. DLI would love to congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Ward on our future DLI student, Rosemary! Their baby girl was born earlier this week!
Next week, we will be focusing on letter Tt. Stay tuned for our fun “T” craft! We will be preparing for Parent/Teacher conferences. We are excited to show off your child’s progress during conferences. We will also continue practicing our numbers and phonics!
