What a great week in JK! The weather has really turned to Fall in the last week. This week we filled our classroom bucket of Kindness with warm and fuzzy Pom Poms, and earned a class reward. The children voted on extra playground time, they were excited.
We have now joined the rest of the school on the PBIS (positive behavior in schools) ticket system. If we see a act of kindness your child gets a ticket and it goes into our class container. In JK, you get rewarded with tickets for kindness, doing good work, emptying their backpack and putting their snack where it belongs, to name a few. We have the school raffles every couple of weeks and an all school assembly once a month. The kids get a prize if their name is picked. It is special and something the kids are proud of!
A few questions for your children:
- Did you earn a ticket and put it in the class container?
- Who was the prayer leader this week?
- What is the letter motion for the letter “s” “a” and “p”?
Religion: The Grateful Pumpkin in the classroom continues, and your kids have been taking turns filling in the blanks of what Blessings they are Grateful for.
Literacy: We will be learning the Letter “D” in Jolly phonics next week.
Math: Counting Turkeys, patterns, and number fun is all going to continue through Thanksgiving!
