The Christmas Joy is all around our classroom! The kids have been very busy preparing their hearts for Baby Jesus’ birthday doing their kind deeds, and practicing for the Christmas play that will be this Wednesday at 9:30 on stage in the parish center. Doors open at 9:15!
Things to ask your children:
- Who was the flag holder?
- Who was the line leader ?
- Who was the prayer leader?
*Next Thursday will be Christmas PJ day! We will be watching the Grinch with the Preschool rooms and sharing a special snack. Friday we have a 9:30 mass, and 2 pm dismissal!
Religion: Next week brings week 3 of Advent! Is your child being helpful at home? They have been so proud to share with the class the many ways they have been helpful to a sibling in the house, clearing the table, putting dishes in the sink, making beds and etc.
Literacy: We are reviewing all our letter sounds and practicing our Jolly phonics actions for each sounds. Phonemic awareness is also daily. Hearing sounds in words and taking them apart and rhyming are the some of the skills they work on each day!
Math: Patterning , graphing and tally marks are all ways to develop number sense. We achieve this each day during calendar and center time.
