JK Newsletter January 20, 2023

It was a fun filled short week! I hope your kids came home telling lots of Polar Bear fun Facts:)

Catholic Schools week is coming up fast! We kick it off January 29th with 10:30 mass and then an all school open house from 11:30-2:30 house.

We hope you can come say “HELLO” and see all the hard work your children have been doing! We have so much to be proud of at St. Cletus School! Our school would not be what it is with out all our wonderful families! Thank You!

Parents, teachers and the church are the all what make our school so great and your children thrive!

Some things to ask your children from this week:

  • Did you ever have a snowball fight in the classroom?  What letter was in your snowball?
  • What does the sensory table with fake snow feel like?  What did you add to the white flakes to watch them grow?
  • Who are the helpers in the classroom this week?  Flag holder, Prayers, caboose and line leader?
  • Ask your children to finish the sentence…”Show your Cardinal today….” “By the things we do and say”

Religion: We have church on Tuesday at 8am.  Next week we will begin talking about Catholic Schools Week! The theme is “Walking in Faith and Love”.  We will be preparing for the celebration, and looking at how we can show our kind hearts to all!

Literacy: We will be looking at 3 letter word families and continuing  to do Jolly phonics review and Phonemic awareness as well!

Math: We are working with tally marks of teen numbers, graphing and patterns.

Science/Social studies: We will be continuing our winter theme.  Snow, ice and arctic animals. Next week we will be doing activities for the Chinese new year, the year of the Rabbit!  It should be a fun week learning all about it.

Have a wonderful weekend and please let us know if you have any questions:)
